Honest Limits
Last updated: May 2026
Sightline is strongest where it can verify the ground truth: Companies House, FCA Register, ICO Register, business profile evidence, and seller-specific context. It is not a magic database and it does not pretend weak signals are strong ones.
What is strong today
- Regulatory and company-context checks against UK public sources.
- Business and pain synthesis for UK SME sales conversations.
- Seller Lens scripts, especially when the seller provides real writing samples.
- Short, decision-ready briefings designed for sales teams, not analysts.
What is deliberately limited
- The Industry lens is treated as Phase 2 until the dedicated function is complete.
- Competitor context is lifecycle-based inference unless a verified source is supplied.
- Starter and Growth do not include native HubSpot or Salesforce sync at launch.
- Pack outputs are point-in-time. Staleness alerts are a later workflow.
What we will not do
- Use behavioural profiles for employment, credit, insurance, or eligibility decisions.
- Infer special-category characteristics from public profile content.
- Send cold email to sole traders without the right consent route.
- Show per-prospect internal costs or sell volume as the value.
- Generate psychometric or personality scores (such as Big Five or DISC), numeric trait ratings, a match score, or inferred risk tolerance or decision speed about a person who has not consented.
- Make automated decisions about individuals. Every observation about a person is tied to a quote from a public source.
Why this page exists
Serious buyers find the limits eventually. Better that you see them before you pay, while the useful parts are still clear enough to judge.
